The Texas Alliance of Energy Producers was created in 2000 with the merger of two of the oldest oil and gas associations in the nation... the North Texas Oil & Gas Association and the West Central Texas Oil & Gas Association.
With more than 3,000 members, the Alliance is the largest state oil and gas trade association in the nation. The Alliance brings together members in 300 cities and 25 states for the common purpose of protecting the domestic oil and gas industry, focusing on Texas issues.
Clayton Williams, Chairman of Clayton Williams Energy, Inc., in Midland, criticized the RRC in a speech in Dallas on may 27.
