Federal Overregulation Rises to Top Threat in Texas Alliance of Energy Producers Survey
Despite concerns, 556 U.S. oil and gas professionals indicate increased optimism about the industry in 2nd consecutive “Pulse of the Oil Patch” survey
AUSTIN, Texas (March 22, 2022)—One year into the Biden presidency, federal overreach is the biggest threat for U.S. oil and gas professionals. This is according to the results of the second consecutive "Pulse of the Oil Patch" survey conducted by the Texas Alliance of Energy Producers. Representing a large cross-section of the industry, 556 survey respondents in 38 states and the District of Columbia provided input about the state of business, concerns, challenges, and priorities in 2022.

Texas Alliance of Energy Producers Elects New Board Chair Houston Sullivan
New slate of board officers begins two-year term with Texas oil and gas association
AUSTIN, Texas (Feb. 28, 2022)—New officers have taken the helm of the Texas Alliance of Energy Producers’ (the Alliance) board of directors. Elevating to Alliance board chairman is Houston Sullivan, who has served as board vice chairman for the last two years.

Thank you for the opportunity to provide final comments to the Small Business Advocacy Review Panel—Oil and Natural Gas Sector New Source Performance Standards. We have expressed before, but it is worth reiterating that our association sincerely appreciates EPA’s work to listen to small businesses and small entity representatives to incorporate their concerns into the rulemaking process moving forward. As a representative of small businesses, the Texas Alliance of Energy Producers has an obligation to advocate for our clients when we see potentially negative regulatory burdens will make small businesses less competitive to larger competitors or worse make operations impossible due to regulatory requirements sized to larger companies. We fear without clear exception and a bifurcation of regulatory requirements for small operations, small business will be harmed.
